Cats are REALLY missing out!!!

I decided to learn something new about cats today!  I wanted to give them equal time with the dogs I learned about awhile ago. I learned that cats can not taste sweetness! Cats are actually missing the key taste receptor gene that would allow them to actually taste sweet flavors!  My internet search told me that "when a cat tries to lick frosting, they’re basically thinking, “Mmm… dairy grease,” not “Yum, sugar.”!!  I feel bad for our feline friends! Did anyone else know about this and fail to fill me in? To learn more watch the YouTube video below or click the image.
